We can’t pour from an empty cup. In order to give to others we need to fill ourselves up with good nourishment, resilient self care practices, pleasure and fun. Self care is not selfish. It is essential for our health and well being. And for the collective health of our families and communities. Staying grounded, remembering our strengths and sharing a sense of lightness helps to carry us through, especially in these challenging times.
Sally Strosahl, M.A., LCPC is a semi-retired marriage and family therapist who enjoys using music and stories to deepen our capacities to love ourselves and others.
