Congregational Parking Lot Gathering

Congregational Parking Lot Gathering

When

Friday, September 10, 2021
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Where

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of La Crosse
401 West Ave S, La Crosse, WI, 54601

It is important to be here for each other in all the ways we can. So let’s come together — safely, distanced and masked, outdoors. We’ll gather in the parking lot behind the UU on West Ave, and have a chance to tour the building and meet new friends!

Our community has been asked to hold so much over the past year and a half, and the need for further distancing just as we were hoping to reopen has been emotional for all of us (if you missed last week’s Board announcement regarding in person Sunday Services, please click here). Aside from doing our part to vaccinate and mask, there’s only so much we can do to control the community infection rates (which will determine when reopening will truly be possible). How do we want to respond as Unitarian Universalists to this reality we find ourselves in now?

Rev. Leslie will lead the gathering, and we’ll have a sound system so people can hear. We’ll have an opening centering time with a chance to make music together, and then some reflections to help us enter a time for small group discussions to process what’s been happening, and to articulate our hope for the future. What do we want to see happen this year — and how do we make it happen safely and inclusively?

Masking and distancing is mandatory, and we ask that you be vaccinated if you choose to participate in person. Participants who would like to listen in virtually will be welcome on Zoom.
