The Jungian psychotherapist, Alan Chinen, wrote a wonderful little book called In The Ever After, because romantic fairy tales typically end, “they lived happily ever after…” But how, exactly? At first blush, love seems easy, even effortless, but the path of true love proves arduous, and presents us with many challenges. The trials of the heart are difficult indeed, but if we persevere in love, the rewards can be great.
