“The Self-Care and Seasonal Connection” with Barbara May (Presented by Michael Servetus Unitarian Society)

The Summer Solstice marks the longest day as the Winter Solstice marks the longest night. But did you know that the changing of the seasons are not just astrological or spiritual events? How the earth cycles and its changing seasons have a biological effect on the human body, once again affirming our interconnected web of existence.

Barbara has been a lay leader in Unitarian Universalism since 2013. She has served two congregations, specifically, in New London, Connecticut and Omaha, Nebraska. She moved to Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota in the fall of 2018 to begin her seminary journey at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities where she will be graduating in the spring of 2023 with a Master of Arts in Leadership with focus in Faith Formation and a certificate in Spiritual Direction from St. Catherine’s University in conjunction with United upon completion of her congregational internship with MSUS.
