Very recently the United Nations General Assembly accepted a report calling for nations who had profited from the African slave trade to consider reparations for the slaves’ descendants. In this presentation for UN Sunday, Eric Kraemer discusses the case for reparations in the United States and examines how it might fit into a comprehensive process of repentance for slavery and its aftermath.
Eric Kraemer, long-time UU Fellowship member, is a retired UW-L philosophy professor. He currently serves on the Fellowship’s Sunday Service & Music Team and Board of Trustees.
