This Sunday is our traditional UU bird walk at Myrick Park, but this year we’re meeting remotely.
Tired of sitting at home? There are many local birding ‘hot spots’ in the La Crosse area that can provide outdoor fun in the summer, even with a mask on. In this presentation, UU member Melinda Knutson, a local bird watcher and conservation enthusiast, will share some tips on where to enjoy bird watching within an hour’s drive of La Crosse. Besides learning about some bird watching spots you may not have visited, you’ll have the chance to ask some bird questions. Maybe you have questions about bird behavior or how to attract birds to your yard? Melinda will answer your questions and share some tips on how to enjoy birds right here in the La Crosse area.
Melinda is a retired biologist with the US Fish and Wildlife Service. She now works with private landowners on conservation practices and does technical writing and consultation with federal and state agencies in her business, Trillium Consulting, LLC.
Attend online! We’re keeping our distance physically, for now, so check us out virtually! Watch for Zoom login info here and on our Facebook page.
