“Active Transportation Equity: Becoming Active and Aware”

What is Active Transportation and what do we need to learn and unlearn about it and its role on our planet? Active Transportation is similar to other racial and gender specific guidelines that keep certain people invisible and in dangerous situations, while others are privileged. Whose voices are being and not being heard and whose are silenced? How can you act to include transportation in our social justice consciousness? Fellowship member Matthew Christen with address these issues.

We encourage people to use alternative transportation (walk, bike, bus) to get to the service if at all possible.

Matthew Christen has been an educator for 30 years teaching students from 3d grade to grad school. He is also an strong proponent of bicycling, having owned and operated Wrench & Roll Collective Bike shop in La Crosse. He has been instrumental in promoting bicycling both locally and nationally in a multitude of ways.
