Rock & Water Ingathering

Fellowship Members Donna Bauer and Sylvester Sullivan will lead this special “Ingathering Service.” Along with many other UU congregations, we traditionally celebrate our coming together in the fall by pouring a bit of water that has been collected over the summer into a common container. This action symbolizes the flowing together of our lives in religious community as we begin a new season, and the water itself represents our diverse personal sources of spiritual refreshment and renewal.  “Many wells, one river,” as they say. You are invited to bring a small container of water with you to the service. You may also bring a small stone or rock. The stones will be added to our “Joys and Concerns” vessel. All are welcome to participate!

Donna joined our UU in 2017 even before she moved here from Wilton WI. She happily served as Outreach and Connections Coordinator 2018-2021. Served as Board Vice President, then Board President until this past June. Donna has served on many teams, volunteered, and helped steer our fellowship to increased growth and more fellowship opportunities. Donna will share her journey being a part of the UU community. Dr Sylvester “Sly” Sullivan is a retired U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer with 28 years of distinguished service, including active roles in multiple global operations. Now serving as an outpatient mental health therapist and school-based mental health program therapist int he Coulee region. Sly recently joined the fellowship and will share his journey of finding his spiritual home and then stepping into a leadership position.
