Aldo Leopold wrote about the need for people to adopt a ‘land ethic’. What does this mean for those of us who live in the beautiful and bio-diverse landscape of the Driftless Area? Do we consider how our actions are either promoting the beauty and biological diversity of our homes and communities or demoting them? What can Aldo Leopold teach us about living the UU 7th principle? Melinda Knutson will explore Leopold’s land ethic. She will show how his writings are Wisconsin signposts, teaching us how we should act if we want to show respect for the interdependent web of all existence. She will share some of her own experiences with treading that path.
