In his classic book, The Courage to Be, the theologian, Paul Tillich, argued that the very act of existing requires courage. But what is this elusive quality called courage, and where can we get some? We all recognize and honor extraordinary acts of bravery, but every day we all have the opportunity to exercise “ordinary courage.” As the writer, Ann Herbert, pointed out, “the sky begins at your feet. Think how brave you are to walk around!”
