“Labor & Liberty” with Rev. Lisa Friedman (Presented by UUCM)

The origin of Labor Day has roots in a failed experiment by Universalist George Pullman during the rapid changes of the Industrial Revolution. As we face the aftermath of the Great Resignation and the stark divides in America’s working conditions revealed by the pandemic, what values do we hold for labor and liberty?

Rev. Lisa Friedman serves the Unitarian Universalist Church of Minnetonka as their Developmental Minister. She has served congregations in New York, Michigan, and Minnesota for the past 26 years. She is passionate about building strong, multigenerational communities that make a difference in the world.

NOTE: Service begins at 10:00 AM

Zoom Link will be in eNews and Sunday Email.

UU La Crosse Building will be CLOSED and there will not be any after service activities. We’re giving our volunteers the day off for Labor Day! 🙂
