“In Search of the Beloved Community”

In his presentation, long-time fellowship member, Eric Kraemer, invites us to discover the origins and explore the meaning of an important concept to which we often officially refer, the Beloved Community. Why has this concept been important? What is it that makes a community ‘beloved’? Have you ever felt as though you might be part of such a community? How can we try to create it? How would we know when we have achieved it? Kraemer finds inspiration in looking at the history of this concept and invites us to consider how to intentionally apply it to our current life challenges.

Eric Kraemer, longtime member of the Fellowship, is a retired philosophy professor who enjoys continuing to explore interesting topics. He likes sharing intriguing questions and learning from listening to others.
