“Curated Reverence” with Rev. Kendyl Gibbons

The human experience of primal reverence requires no institutional structure — it comes spontaneously, often in natural settings, or moments of intense feeling. So what is it that we are about on Sunday mornings at 10:00? If you can’t schedule the spirit to appear, what is the point of public worship?

The Rev. Dr. Kendyl Gibbons grew up as a UU, and currently serves as senior minister at the All Souls UU Church of Kansas City. She recently celebrated the 41st anniversary of her ordination, has supervised 28 student interns, served as adjunct faculty at Meadville/Lombard Theological School, United Seminary in the Twin Cities, and the Humanist Institute, and president of the UU Ministers Association. She is also the author of lyrics for the Sources Cantata and several well known hymns. Feel free to edit this to whatever form works best for you.
