“UU Values for the Unplanned Pregnancy: Compassion and Justice”

An unplanned pregnancy may force a woman or teenage girl into a situation that deserves our full compassion. It also may force her to confront an almost-impossibly-difficult question: When does human life begin? Ron’s talk today, prepared with active input and participation from members of our Sunday Service & Music Team, will uphold relevant UU values and principles. It will conclude with a section on countering the current juggernaut aimed at yanking pregnancy decisions away from the pregnant woman. We will enter the emotional world of a young girl pregnant-too-soon, watching and listening to a Natalie Merchant performance of her song “Eat for Two”; headphones or earbuds are recommended.

Ron Malzer is a retired psychologist and active in a number of social justice causes in our community.
