On Sunday, January 24, we will explore our monthly themes of Consolation and Imagination with Melissa Fannin of Fannin Counseling in La Crosse. As a licensed art therapist and counselor, she helps clients facing challenges such as change, grief, and trauma to develop practical, everyday skills and tools to help them enhance mindfulness and self-awareness. We will be inspired by the ways creativity, and the unique powers of art therapy, have helped her journey beyond personal tragedy to more fully express herself and help others find comfort, healing, and personal empowerment.
Melissa Fannin is a licensed professional counselor who is a registered art therapist and regularly helps clients harness the healing power and creativity inherent in making art. She will share a brief meditation, her experience of personal tragedy, and the roles art and creativity have played in her journey.
