“Democracy as a Private Spiritual Practice.”
So often we think of democracy as something that happens outside our private lives – in our towns, states and in our nations. But the continual striving to become a true democracy has had ripple effects on our relationships, our families, our marriages and our personal lives. We will use our time to explore how we find and claim power in our private lives. Uncapped is an open covenant group, focused on having relaxed evening where we enjoy each other’s company and talk about the things closest to our hearts. Readings and ritual center us in the topic and guided questions help us go deeper into the theme. The guided questions are posted on the UU La Crosse Members & Friends group page a few days before the session. We meet in the private dining room, placing our orders at 6:30 pm and beginning the conversation at 6:45 p.m.
