The Member Services Team is looking to build a Pastoral Care volunteer base, and we need your help. We are hoping to create a list of volunteers who can be called on whenever we have a caregiving need (this might include sending cards, making calls, visiting those at home or in the hospital, and/or making meals). Volunteers would not be required to attend meetings or to serve on the Member Services team (although you are very welcome to!) and we will be providing training for anyone who is interested.
The first training will be on Saturday, January 20th. Rev. Bruce will be leading a session focused on how to offer comfort to those who are grieving. People are often at a loss for words when it comes to comforting a bereaved friend, so in this workshop we will explore tools and resources to help all of us feel more confident in providing this vital care to one another.
We will gather at the Fellowship at 9:30 AM for coffee, tea, and breakfast treats! The training will begin at 10 AM. We hope that you’ll join us!
