Shirley Valentine has lost herself in the safety and comfort of routines and is not sure who she is anymore. Of course, a vacation in Greece helps her sort it all out, and become whole again. The movie has a strong message at its core about staying true to yourself and that it is possible to rediscover your self-confidence and achieve your goals at any age.
