Based on his own experiences as a UU La Crosse member of 16 years, David Boen will talk about our Fellowship and what it’s like to be a member. Whether you’re visiting us for the first time, or you’ve been a member for as long (or longer!) than David, this talk aims to lift up and celebrate the many meaningful ways you can connect with our community.
You are encouraged to invite curious friends and family who are looking to learn more about UU La Crosse. In addition to David’s talk, this service will also include a New Member Recognition to formally welcome and introduce our newest members!
David Boen has been a UU for over 25 years, first in Clarksville Tennessee and then La Crosse since 2010. Almost from the beginning he has volunteered by being on committees, work projects, community outreach and whatever came along. He retired from the air conditioning industry in 2018 and then spent a few years teaching at Western Technical College. He is an avid bicyclist, kayaker, and theatre goer. Most of all he loves his family and all the joy that they bring. He has 5+ grandchildren from a blended family. He is the current chair of the Social and Environmental Justice team.
