“Welcoming”

Like that feeling when friends you haven’t seen in a while arrive and ring the buzzer and the dog barks and you throw open the door and draw each other into an exuberant embrace. Or how you looked in the mirror that time and really saw yourself just as you are, lived life etched on your face, strengths and flaws seen and received with acceptance and equanimity. This sermon is inspired by a recent book, Welcoming Beginner’s Mind by meditation teacher, Gaylon Ferguson.

Rev. Ann Tyndall is retired from the UU Ministry and Healthcare Chaplaincy. She is a practicing Buddhist and has spoken here before.
