In September we are exploring the theme of Invitation. David Whyte writes, “A real conversation always contains an invitation. You are inviting another person to reveal (themselves) to you, to tell you who they are or what they want.”
Our movie The Station Agent contains many invitations to listen. Fin (Peter Dinklage), a handsome man born with dwarfism, walks into a sleepy, lakeside town to check out the semi-derelict train depot left to him in a friend’s will. Having nowhere better to go, he holes up in this depot, misanthropic and wordless.
The neighbours are curious. They need his company at a time when he is not looking for any. The conversations begin.
Join us for a sweet well made Indie film on Saturday, September 7 at 4 pm. Great popcorn, good company, scintillating conversation and the best seat in the house
